A Legacy Couture Portrait is an opportunity to honour and preserve a meaningful chapter of your life through fine art portraiture.

While photographs often document what happened, a legacy portrait seeks to capture something deeper—the essence of who you are within a particular season of life. The moments of becoming, reflection, achievement, healing, celebration, and transformation that deserve to be remembered long after they have passed.

Each portrait commission begins with your story.

Together, we explore the chapter you wish to honour, the emotions and experiences that define it, and the visual language through which it may be expressed. Through thoughtful planning, artistic direction, couture, styling, and portraiture, we create an artwork intended not only for today, but for future generations who may one day look upon it and better understand the woman you were at this moment in time.

Many clients choose to commission a couture garment as part of their portrait experience. Designed from a couture capsule collection aligned with your chosen archetype, the garment becomes an integral part of the visual narrative. While couture is not required, it is often recommended as a means of creating a truly cohesive and deeply personal portrait experience.

The result is more than a photograph. It is an heirloom artwork created to celebrate your story, preserve your legacy, and serve as a lasting reminder of this chapter of your life.

The Legacy Portrait Process

Every Legacy Couture Portrait is thoughtfully planned and individually tailored to reflect the story, personality, and aspirations of the woman at its centre.

Discovery & Consultation

The journey begins with a personal consultation where we discuss the chapter of life you wish to honour, your inspirations, and the emotions, themes, and ideas that feel most meaningful to you.

Together we begin shaping the vision for your portrait experience.

Archetype Selection & Creative Direction

Clients are invited to explore the Legacy Portrait Archetypes or share their results from our archetype tool, and identify the visual world that resonates most deeply with them.

This archetype becomes the foundation for the artistic direction of the portrait, influencing styling, wardrobe, colour palette, location, mood, and overall atmosphere.

Couture & Styling

Where applicable, clients may commission a made-to-order couture garment from the capsule collection aligned with their chosen archetype.

Additional styling considerations may include:

• Accessories

• Hair styling

• Makeup direction

• Floral elements

• Meaningful personal objects

Every detail is selected to support the visual narrative.

Location Planning

Together we determine the most appropriate setting for your portrait.

This may include:

• Historic properties

• Gardens

• Natural landscapes

• Architectural locations

• Private properties

Location selection plays an important role in supporting the story and atmosphere of the final artwork.

Portrait Session

The portrait session itself is intentionally relaxed and unhurried.

Rather than focusing on trends or conventional portrait photography, the experience is designed to create timeless, painterly images that feel authentic, elegant, and enduring.

Image Selection & Artwork Design

Following the session, you will be invited to review a curated selection of images.

Together we select the portrait or portraits that best represent the story and vision developed throughout the planning process.

Artwork options are then discussed and designed.

Artwork Production & Delivery

Your selected artwork is carefully prepared and produced using museum-quality materials chosen for their beauty and longevity.

The completed artwork is intended to become a lasting heirloom to be enjoyed and preserved for generations to come.
